Citadel Shades are specially formulated to flow over other paints and into the recesses on your miniatures, defining details and accentuating recesses. They make adding realistic shadows and lowlights to your models easy and are designed to run into the recesses of your miniatures, providing excellent results with minimal effort.

Once applied, they dry to provide very effective, matte shading for your models. All of the paints that Warhammer produces are non-toxic, water-based acrylics that can be used on plastics, metal, and resin miniatures. It may not look like much, but a single jar contains 24 milliliters of shade paint, which gives you a lot of good use for multiple miniatures.
